Reactions Trail Femi Fani-Kayode's Remarks On The Alliance Between SouthWest And The North

Reactions have begun following Femi Fani-latest Kayode’s social media post, in which he spoke about the unity of Nigeria and the political alliance between the northern and southwestern regions of the country, in the wake of the public backlash that greeted his recent comments against people of southeast extraction living in Lagos. 

Several hours ago, FFK, a member of the APC presidential campaign committee, took to his verified Facebook page to assert that Nigeria will remain a one, indivisible nation and that the political alliance and trust between the Yoruba and their northern neighbors would not be shattered. 

In his own words: “Whether you agree with this new direction for Nigeria or not, one thing is certain: the alliance and trust between the people of the Southwest and the people of the North, newly formed in this country, will never be shattered again. We can weather any storm if we stick together!” 

Fani-Kayode’s statements have sparked debate amongst Nigerians online, with many taking to the comments section to voice their opinions. 

The former aviation minister was widely accused of intentionally inflaming racial tensions when he failed to include the Southeast and South-South in the “united Nigeria” he described.
