The governor of Abia state, Okezie Ikpeazu has finally publicly broken silence over the loss of the elections, both at the state and the senatorial level, where he pointed out that he was okay with the results, as long as his principled position actualized.

Ikpeazu who was speaking on a programme on Channels Television downplayed any regrets of losing any of the elections, where he stressed that as long as the presidency came to the south, he was totally okay and comfortable with such an outcome.

The governor who revealed that he sees such as a sacrifice further added that being part of the G5 was one of the best decisions he has taken as a politician.

In his words… “If losing those elections are the sacrifice for his principled position for presidency to return to the South, he was okay with it”

One will not be wrong to say that Ikpeazu who had lost the senatorial bid and also saw his preferred governorship candidate under the PDP lose to his closest rival, had earlier openly declared not to support their party’s presidential candidate for the presidency.
