Peter Obi Makes Promise To Charles Soludo As He Marks First Year In Office

On the occasion of Charles Soludo’s first year in office, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), made a commitment to him.

On March 25, 2023, Obi travelled to Awka, the seat of the Anambra state, to take part in the event.

There were several notable people in attendance, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo and other dignitaries.

As soon as attendees observed Obi walking in, the governor’s speech was cut short by a loud boom.

After learning of Obasanjo’s attendance, the LP flagbearer made his way to a designated seat in the front but stood up to meet him.

Peter Obi shared images from the event on Twitter while arguing that politics should be free of partisanship, tribalism, and religion.

The former governor said he would keep on praying and wished Soludo luck as he led the state.

He stated: “I attended the commemoration of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s one year in office today in Awka, Anambra State. I firmly think that politics should transcend partisanship and be devoid of ethnic and religious attachments because doing so will help us create a better society.

“We must all work together to create a better society for everyone. As he completes his first year in office, I congratulate Prof. @CCSoludo, my very close brother and governor. I’ll keep asking God to bless him and sending him my best wishes. I hope he succeeds.
