Rivers State Election: Reactions As A Video Showing Thugs Snatching Ballot Boxes Surfaces Online
The much anticipated March 18 gubernatorial elections have been conducted across the states of the federation but a free and fair exercise was not recorded in some states as there are traces of electoral malpractices in Rivers State.
Video updates trickling down the media shows that thugs stormed Ward 15, Unit 23 and Unit 24 in Ohio Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State and snatched the ballot boxes and other election materials. “Thugs are seen carting away election materials at Ward 15, Units 23, and 24, UNIPORT Convocation Arena, and Delta Park in Obio Akpor LGA”, reports Nigeria Info 92.3 PH.
As expected, social media users took to the comment section of the video to react. Some said parties that claim to have structure in the State have settled for thuggery, while others said the situation was unfortunate. Check out the screen shots below for the details.
