POTTER OUT: Why Potter Should Be Sacked & 3 Experienced Manager Who Could Replace Him

The Blues returned to Premier League action today, hosting Everton in an attempt to extend their winning streak and boost their top four hopes. However, the Blues were unable to obtain the desired results after a late goal cost them all three points, which I will most likely blame on Potter, who made some poor decisions in today’s game.

Despite dominating the game brilliantly in the first half, the blues were unable to take the lead. They, however, came back stronger in the second half and were able to take the lead after Felix scored from outside the box. Instead of looking for a way to end the game with another goal, the Blues let their foot off the gas, allowing Everton to equalize through Doucore on the 69th minute. Following that, the Blues went straight into attack, and Havertz converted a penalty in the 76th minute after a foul on James, which saw the blues back on the lead.

Chelsea appeared to be holding on to their lead, but substitute Ellis Simms leveled the scores in the final minutes of the game to ensure Everton went home with a point.

With today’s performance, it’s clear that Potter is not the right man for the job. Following Havertz’s goal, he made some clumsy and unnecessary substitutions, which cost Chelsea the game. Potter’s substitution choices are the worst I’ve ever witnessed at this level. Graham Potter took out Pulisic, who had a fantastic game for Gallagher, and kovacic, who was holding down the midfield well for Rubel Loftus Cheek, and it killed the game’s momentum.

Potter’s tactics will never get Chelsea anywhere. The Blues should fire him now, before things worsen. The Champions League quarterfinals are quickly approaching, and I believe the Blues will require a better coach to defeat Real Madrid.

Here are three suitable managers who could replace Potter at Chelsea if he is eventually sacked;

1. Luis Enrique:

As one of the most seasoned managers in the world, I think Luis will be the perfect Graham Potter replacement at Chelsea. The 52-year-old strategist uses an original formation that fits the blues’ playing style.

2. Zinedine Zidane

Zidane is also an excellent Potter replacement. The experienced manager strikes the ideal balance between tenacious defense and wide-open attacking play, which could greatly benefit Chelsea.

3. Hansi Flick

The 57-year-old strategist would make a good coach for Chelsea. His leadership style and tactics speak for themselves. With him in charge, Chelsea will have a better chance of turning things around.
