CHE 2-2 EVE: How Graham Potter's Poor Game Management Cost Chelsea all three points against Everton

Chelsea have themselves to blame as they drop points against Sean Dyche’s Everton in today’s English Premier League match at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues got off a bright start as usual and made sure the away side were on the back foot for the majority of the match as the controlled possession, create good scoring opportunities & pressed relentlessly.

The West Londoners broke the deadlock through the best player of the game, Joao Felix who picked up a loose ball after the Everton backline failed to clear their lines properly & placed into the back of the net, it was from there things changed for the Blues.

As Graham Potter replaced an attacker, Christian Pulisic with a none creative midfielder and switched from a 3-4-3 formation to 3-5-2 which had a negative effect on the Blues.

The away side got themselves in back into the game from a set piece as the Blues backline were nowhere to be found as Abdoulaye Doucoure equalised, not long after Chelsea restored their advantage through Kai Havertz who expertly converted a penalty.

From there on, the English tactician went on to make wrong substitutions taking off Joao Felix, Mateo Kovacic, Wesley Fofana instead of balancing it up a little bit, with Trevor Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek coming in place of this above-mentioned players.

Which wasn’t right when had attacking players likes of Mykhaylo Mudryk and Noni Madueke on the substitutes bench who could have come on to impact the game positively or possibly get Everton backline worked up which will run down the clock in their favour.

Everton punished Potter’s poor decision and netted a late equaliser to earn a precious point.
