He is Southampton’s third signing of the January window, after the arrivals of Mislav Orsic and Carlos Alcaraz.

Arsenal close to signing Ibrahima Bamba
According to Jornal de Notícias (via Sport Witness), Arsenal are closing in on a ‘transfer’ to land Vitoria Guimaraes defensive midfielder Ibrahima Bamba. The 20-year-old is being tipped for a bright future in the game and could be seen as a useful long-term option for the London club. The young Italian started his career at F.C. Pro Vercelli 1892 before landing a move to Vitoria back in 2020. He has since broken into their first-team over the past couple of seasons but is now reportedly poised to leave for a new chapter in England.
