Transfer News: Manchester United Join Chelsea In Gusto Race, Chelsea Make £87m Offer To Sign Enzo Fernandez

Man Utd join Chelsea in Gusto race
Manchester United have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Lyon defender Malo Gusto, according to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins.
The defender has already reached an agreement with the Blues, but Man Utd have told the youngster not to rush and are hoping to beat their Premier League rivals to his signature.
Chelsea make £87m offer to sign Enzo Fernandez
Chelsea have reportedly made an offer of £87m to sign top target Enzo Fernandez.
The club’s move to sign the Argentina star looked to have broken down earlier this month but there appears to have been a U-turn.
Benfica midfielder Fernandez is the club’s top target, though the Lisbon giants have long-insisted he will not leave for less than his £106m release clause.
Portuguese outlet Record, however, claim Chelsea have now bid £87m PLUS two players in return for the 21-year-old.
Federico Chiesa on Real Madrid’s wishlist
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on the situation of Italian international Federico Chiesa in the aftermath of Juventus’ recent scandal.
Chiesa, 25, is on Real Madrid’s shopping list, and Los Blancos might look to sign the Italian international in the summer transfer window amid the latest controversy surrounding Juventus.
Inter put up Skriniar on sale, insists agent
It has been reported that Milan Skriniar is set to join PSG in January for €20m. His agent, Roberto Sistici, claims that it was the club who put up the defender on sale last summer before the player rejected the renewal terms.
“The decision to put Skriniar on the market last summer was made by Inter, not by the player. The operation was interrupted and we were informed. Before Christmas, I told Inter that we did not accept their proposal,” he was quoted by Marca.
Liverpool competing for a move for Declan Rice next summer
According to Sky Sports journalist Rudy Galletti (via GiveMESport), Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool is still in the race to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United.
The Reds have had a long-standing interest in the midfielder and the German manager could make the move for Rice next summer.
The England international is heavily linked to a move to Arsenal, but with Liverpool failing to sign any new midfielders they could make Rice their top priority.
