Tems Becomes First Nigerian Female Artist To Top Billboard Hot 100 Chart

Sensational Nigerian female vocalist, Temilade Openiyi, known within the showbiz circles as Tems, has set another record in the Nigerian music industry.

The raving and outstanding songstress has set a new record in the Nigerian music scene following her collaboration on Future’s recent album, ‘I Never Liked You’ which was released on Friday, April 29, 2022.

Tems assisted the Future on ‘Wait For U‘. Well, the single is occupying the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. ‘Chart Data’, an American Twitter music chart, shared the news of the singer’s record.

With this feat, Tems officially becomes the only Nigerian female act top the Billboard Hot 100 chart after Wizkid.

This is coming after she became the first Nigerian female act to chart at number one on Top 100 United States of America’s Apple Music and Top 100 Global Apple Music few days ago with the same song, “Wait For U”.
