NICKI MINAJ: ‘Essence’ By Wizkid Deserves Grammy Award’s ‘Song Of The Year’ (Video)

American rapper Nicki Minaj has said that ‘Essence’ by Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Wizkid should be awarded as ‘Song of the year’ at the forthcoming Grammy Award.

Nicki Minaj, who appeared in a chat with Joe Budden, acknowledged that the song deserves to win the Grammy plaque. She further added that musicians should have their board at the Grammys.

Wizkid secured two nominations at the 2022 Grammy Awards. He was nominated for the Best Global Music Performance alongside Femi Kuti, Burna Boy, Tems, Angelique Kidjo and other African stars.

The Nigerian Afrobeat Star’s album ‘Made In Lagos’ was nominated for Best Global Music Album at the 64th Grammy Award show.

Wizkid his first-ever Grammy at the 2021 Awards. Wizkid won the Grammy award for his collaboration with Singer Beyonce and her daughter Blue Ivy for the track Brown Skin Girl in the Best Music Video category.
