Two days after injuring his knee during his headlining performance at the 2019 Rolling Loud Festival in New York, it appears that may need surgery to repair it.

According to a report TMZ published on Tuesday (Oct. 14), an insider says Travis went to see an orthopedic specialist Dr. Neal ElAttrache at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles. There it was reportedly determined that Scott had a dislocated knee or, more specifically, a tear in the patellar tendon.

The source added that doctors want to wait a few days to see if the knee can heal on its own before going with surgery, which Travis is reportedly hoping to avoid. However, the “” rapper is reportedly leaning towards surgery if it’s going to get him back to 100 percent. Apparently, Travis wants his leg to be healthy so he can continue to play his favorite pastime — basketball.

Travis took a nasty spill while headlining the first day of the Rolling Loud event last weekend. In a clip that surfaced online, you can see Travis jumping around while performing his banger “Butterfly Effect.” At one point, the 28-year-old artist jumps up into the air and lands awkwardly on his leg. Travis immediately hops back up and continues to perform but he’s clearly walking with a limp.

Afterward, Travis admits to the crowd that he may have injured himself. “I ain’t gon’ lie, I think I just, like, broke my knee just now,” he said while kneeling. “This show cannot stop. So middle fingers to the sky. Lets rage.”
