Arguably the biggest artiste in Africa, Wizkid is set to release his highly-awaited single titled ‘Joro’ on Nigeria’s Independence Day, October 1, 2019.
Wizkid, who is also one of the most decorated afrobeats singer in the world, will drop the official music video for the single, ‘Joro’ alongside its audio.
‘Joro’ will emerge Starboy’s second official single for the year, following the premiere of his critically acclaimed track, ‘Ghetto Love’, which drops few weeks ago. The video for ‘Ghetto Love’ has garnered over 2.4 million views and the fantastic song is also included in BBC 1Xtra’s playlist and has picked up plays on Radio 1, Capital Xtra, FunX (Netherlands), bigFM (Germany) and Generations (France).
Both tracks, ‘Ghetto Love’ and ‘Joro’ are off Wizkid’s hotly anticipated studio album, ‘Made In Lagos’ that is expected to arrive in late October or November.
Days in October 2019 are definitely going to be busy for the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner, as he will be headlining BBC’s 1Xtra Live Festival on October 5, 1Dance Africa 2019, Australia’s first-ever Afrobeats festival, on October 11 in Sydney and October 12 in Melbourne.
Shortly after his billed events, the incredible singer will host his own Starboy Festival tour run on October 18 in Manchester and follows up with dates in London at O2 Arena on October 19 and Paris on October 26.
