Burna Boy’s streaming comment comes after his previous outburst about Nigerian artistes signing international deals with foreign entertainment companies

The ‘Ye’ singer in his post on social media, said streaming numbers are not indications that artists are talented or respected.
He added that if songs like ‘Baby Shark’ and ‘Gangnam Style’ could outnumber other music in terms of streaming, then no artist should be over joyous of views and listens they get on online streaming platforms.
He wrote thus on his Instastories; “This streaming shit be making people feel like they are actually talented. If joke things like “Baby Shark” and “Gangnam Style” can do more number than everyone, don’t think you are talented or respected because of your streaming numbers. Everyone with real working brains know what is a joke and what is real. Anyway, plenty talk no dey full basket. Let time reveal all.”
Some of his followers on social media, replied the singer furiously, believing the comment was a subtle diss at Mayorkun who recently revealed that he go 70 million streams on various online platforms. They told him to desist from ranting on social media, focus on his career and celebrate with his fellow musicians.
