She’s finally back! Janet Jackson has finally made her return to the music industry by releasing her first song in three years titled “Made for You” featuring Daddy Yankee on August 16. The release of the track was accompanied with a music video.

Filmed in Brooklyn, , the visuals features a block party featuring dancers from various countries such as Ghana, Nigeria and Trinidad. The party moves from the streets, to a rooftop, and other locations. Janet is definitely serving looks in the clip, sporting an array of colorful outfits. It includes a frilly white gown, a denim jacket and a top hat.

The song itself is an uplifting ode to living in the present and features an amalgam of sonic influences like afrobeat, dancehall and Latin pop among . “If you’re livin’ for the moment/ Don’t stop, and celebrate the feelin’,” she sings. “Go up, if you’re livin’ for the moment/ Don’t stop, ’cause I break those ceilings.”

The dancers in the Dave Meyers-directed video were selected by Janet herself and her longtime creative director, Gil Duldulao. Some of them have expressed their gratefulness to be able to be a part of the music video in the comment section of the clip. “So thankful to be a part of this and represent dancehall with my team. Thank you Ms. Jackson!” Blacka Di Danca wrote.

“Made for Now” is Janet’s first release on her independent label Rhythm Nation Records, which she runs with her brother and Cinq Music. Barry Daffurn of Cinq says of their partnership in a , “Together, we’ll leverage Cinq’s data-driven toolbox, global presence and best-in-class capabilities in Latin and Urban music to connect with and grow her worldwide fan base.”

Janet and Daddy will be performing the song for the first time in the Friday, August 16 episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”.
